Chambal - a region oneinstantly associates with dacoits and old Bollywood baddies. Circa 1950: Ourcentral character Paan Singh Tomar comes from there, and is in the army. Whenhis superior asks him if his relatives are dacoits, he answers "daku nahin,baaghi [rebel] hai," also adding with an unflinching pride that the policewas never able to catch them. But Paan Singh has nointentions of roaming the jungles with a gun. He is focused on just one thing -eating.  When rudely asked tocut back on his lunch, Paan Singh decides to switch to the sports departmentfor the no-limit food ration. That he runs like the wind is an added advantage.His officers are spell-bound by the spectacle of him winning a race. It is almostnever without drama.How then does thisgold-medallist sportsperson turn into a feared dacoit forms the rest of thestory. Was it an inevitable path for Tomar who considered a race a war, and canthis dreaded dacoit really take the sport out of him? Irrfan Khan alonemakes it worth seeing the film several times over. Imposing, intense andvulnerable at once, you feel for this character and root for him despite hismurderous ways. The film angers you at the system that won’t respect a nationalchampion; that puts a gun in the hand that once showed off a trophy. Actors playing theperipheral characters give masterful performances. As the nervous journalist,Brijendra Kala is a class act. Mahie Gill is dependably superb. And Tigmanshu Dhulia(Haasil, Shagird, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster) remains one of the most underrateddirectors in the industry. He blends in the stark tale with bits of delicioushumour surprising the viewer ever so often. According to director most of the shooting is going on in real places although it is very difficult to shoot on real places of crowded city like Kolkata. So get ready to watch stunning Vidya Balan in action after ‘No One Killed Jessica’. She is amazing performer and we can expect thrilling drama movie from her. Vishal Dadlani who along with his partner Shekhar has composed the music for the film and has declared it to be his best score till date. He recently tweeted about his excitement on the film and didn’t hesitate to praise Vidya with highest accolades.

Malayalam filmmakers are trying to look chic with newer experiments these days. In the process of packaging movies in modern styles, they tend to ignore certain basic things like an engaging script, crisp editing, good performances and so on. The example is director T K Rajeev Kumar’s sorry looking mess called Tatsamayam oru penkutty.
Here, an innocent girl named Manjula Ayyappan (Nithya Menen), who comes from a modest background, becomes the first contestant in a live TV reality show. Sareena (Swetha Menon) is the brain behind this concept and the programme is called, you guessed it right, ‘Tatsamayam oru penkutty’. Ravi Kumar (Siddique) heads the channel while Thomas (Baburaj) is Sareena’s rival there.
A couple of cameras start following Manjula for a month and all hell breaks loose as people keep glued on to their TV sets. The scenes are so ridiculous that certain characters like a guy on a treadmill, a group of friends who have come for shopping and an NRI couple watching the show with a glass of wine are shown doing the same for the whole month!
At almost three hours, the film is a real test of your patience. Of course, there is a genuine storyline here, but it has been made on to the screen in a pathetic way.
T K Rajeev Kumar, who has done some fine films in the past, has floundered big time here. Sunny Joseph and Manuel George have written a screenplay, which is amateurish to the core and lacks any merit. Vinod Ellampilly’s visuals and Sharreth’s music are okay.
The usually dependable Nithya Menen comes up with a rather average show this time, perhaps due to the absence of a convincing script. Swetha Menon does a decent job in a role, which is nothing great. Unni Mukundan, in a brief role, shares no chemistry with Nithya on screen. He looks good but the performance is rather ordinary. Siddique’s contrived style of dialogue delivery may often irritate the viewer.
Tatsamayam oru penkutty is based on a current concept, which is familiar especially with the ‘Bigg Boss’ series and some of those family related reality shows. Those behind this film perhaps found inspiration from films like Ron Howard’s EDtv or Peter Weir’s The Truman Show but didn’t know how to cater it to the viewers here.

Madhavan has come good while the srest of the cast disappoints. The idea is ok, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Story:It is about two who share same ideas come together. Sid (Madhavan) is a divorcee. Going next-level, he helps people obtain divorce. He starts facilitating divorces.He comes across Sonali (Bipasha Basu) who shares his vision and ideas. She is of the idea that divorcee helps break unwanted relationship. The two join hands and turn Jodi Breakers. As it happens both end up romancing each other.Performance The lead pair of Maddy and Bipasha are tailor-made for the role. Though there is no big onscreen chemistry between them, yet they bring their best on screen. The emotional scenes involving Madhavan has come good.

Ordinary traces the life of a bunch of people in the village of Gavi. A KSRTC bus is the only mode that connects the village with the outside world. One needs to cross seven dams to reach the village. Biju Menon and Kunchacko Boban play the driver and the conductor of the bus, respectively. The story traces their relation with the villagers.
The cast includes Kunchakko Boban, Biju Menon, Asif Ali,Jishnu, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, Salimkumar, Unni Mukundan, Ann Augustine and newcomers Shritha and Vaigha.
Kunchacko\'s character\'s name is Iravikuttan Pillai who prefers to be known as E Ravi Kuttan. He then takes charge as a conductor in the KSRTC bus driven by Biju Menon\'s character. The humorous experiences between the driver, the conductor and the passengers form the rest of the story. Ann Augustine playing a postwoman and Asif Ali as Bhadran in a new getup doing a prominent suspense-filled role. Jishnu , who plays a schoolteacher. New comers Vaiga plays a village girl and Shritha Shivdas, who plays the role of a girl willing to do any job for her livelihood.
